WELCOME

Join us in the creation of the "Obama Cheer" project. 

We are a group of creative professionals in lower Manhattan who are volunteering our skills to rally our nation around a voice of hope.

Our goal is to teach America a cheer that will get us off our seat and ensure McCain a quick defeat! Let's create a cheer so inspirational, so energetic, so contagious that America will join 75,000 people at the Denver stadium to shout out - "O-B-A-M-A! Change is gonna start today!" 

So far, friends have gathered to begin the creative process. As the cheer develops, we will document the evolution and then set out with cameras in hand, and invite you to do the same, to teach and record EVERYONE who wants to do the "Obama Cheer".

Think Tank #1

We began our group brainstorming sessions by reaching out to friends, and friends of friends who were interested in coming together for the cause and banging out a creative cheer. The first assembly of the "think tank" convened on Tuesday July 15.  And for 2 hours we pounded out cheers and rhymes and managed to trash the original cheer based on its rhythmic difficulty.

A more direct, easy to follow rhythm and verse was on the table.  Rhymes were debated, content was king and we banged out the new version below:

O-B-A-M-A,
Change is gonna start today

Loud and clear, hear our voice
Now is when we make our choice

Unity, Unity
We are one community

Health-care, education
We are gonna heal the nation

O-B-A-M-A
Change is gonna start today

Loud and clear, hear our voice
BARACK OBAMA is our choice!
